Our next stop was the original house that Asa Bement built, and that has since been restored. We went into the cheese pantry, saw the beehive oven, and went into the kitchen. The children all got to sample cornbread that was made in a dutch oven and then they all churned cream into butter, got to see the butter and the buttermilk that it produced. They were in awe I think!!!
