It seems as if the Portland Sea Dog's bullpen was mostly unfriendly!! The picnic pavilion shares a fence with the edge of the visiting team's bullpen. Mostly, they just ignored the kids when they came up to the fence and looked at them (just about 2 feet away). How can you ignore really cute kids who are in awe of what you do???? Finally, one of the pitchers decided to smile and chat with Molly for a minute. Sheesh, what does it take to be nice?? If he makes it to the majors, that one guy will definitely get cheers from us Clarks!!! Later, Caleb and Cathy had a few snuggles (Cathy was cold and looking for SOMEONE to keep her warm) while he had a sippy. The kids were also ecstatic that Mollyariotti and Jesscherry (the rock star babysitters) had decided to come to the game. There is a group shot of all of them. It was hard to hit five moving targets and come up with a good shot that was flattering to everyone. Mollyariotti (we call her this to distinguish her from our Molly. Her name is Molly Ariotti, but it has become just one name at our house) and Caleb were having lots of laughs and then Jesscherry (we had to do the same for Jess Cherry to keep things on even keel) was working on her biceps by lifting Molly (not Mollyariotti) up repeatedly (and into the ball park lights which made the picture not as good) making her giggle.
