Wednesday was another snow day here in Endicott! Molly and Caleb have missed so many days of school this year because of snow days that are always on MWF instead of TTh. Ugh, in any event, we had a nice hour and a half outside shoveling, sledding and building. Potter was in the midst of making a very cool tunnel in the snow for everyone to climb through. I managed to get this picture, then I went to the other side to help him finish digging through, and Caleb came and laid on top of it and that was the end of it. We tried to redo it, but the damage had been done, the snow was too packed into hunks for us to salvage it. Today as I was hacking away at the 1-2 inches of ice that cover our driveway and sidewalk (yes there really is that much) my neighbor said we are in for another storm Monday into Tuesday. Supposed to be more snow instead of ice and sleet. Let's hope, since hunks of ice do not make good snowmen or snowballs.

Slideshow
Ok, I am trying to get a slideshow going on the sidebar of some of the shirts that I have stenciled in the last couple of years, but apparently I am inept. So whatever you see that says it is my shirts, is obviously, blatantly, WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!

At the inauguration
Jumbo tron picture of Bill and Hillary Clinton (trust me, it is them!). Potter continues to get that free ride on Dave. Look carefully through the trees and over the tops of the busses and you'll see the moving trucks that are getting all the Bushes stuff out and the Obamas stuff in - yay!!! Obama on the jumbo tron as he is sworn in. Pretty cool stuff!!!
Very, very squishy on the metro ride in. Long waits on the outside near the escalator and then on the platform, but everything was well organized. Military vehicles, large flags flown with pride, frozen fountain near the Monument. You'd think that some people have never seen a frozen pond before. And many idiots were walking way out towards the middle where it was less frozen. Duh!!
Inauguration pre-party
At Wendy's apartment, we had a little inauguration party for the kids. Just a snacky sort of dinner and then some flags and ring bling (which sadly, I don't think I have pictures of). Potter and Molly getting into it with the flags. Potter then used Playmobil people to make Joe Biden and Barack Obama riding into D.C. on a horse and cart. Barack is wearing black, instead of actually BEING black. Potter and I wave flags, then Caleb shoves a flag in Wendy's back pocket. Caleb then will pose with his flag for the camera.
On the mall with port-o-potties
On the mall they had tons of jumbo-trons, and you can see the Capital in the background here. They were showing the rerun of the concert we missed the previous afternoon. I have another pic of the people on the mall. Also, two pictures of the port-o-potties which were EVERYWHERE. There were never less than 50 in a row. Amazing. Would hate to be the crew to clean up that mess the next week.
