Wendy and one of her former students, JessG, (not to be confused with Jesscherry) went out for lunch on Saturday and then came back to our house to bake all of Wendy's cookies for the cookie exchange. Somehow, I ended up making all of Wendy's cookies!? Most of us took a break later in the afternoon to enjoy some unexpected snowfall that actually stuck to the deck and ground. Crash spent his first snow experience running around like a wild dingo and the kids took turns with JessG either on the deck pelting the lower level clods with snowballs, or going down to the grass and trying to heave snowballs up to the deck and windows. (Don't tell Dave they were aiming for the windows, he is touchy about stuff like that!) Crashy also enjoyed being able to run around in his woods in the snow and look for sticks and other fun things to chew on. I went around to the front of the house and took a picture. I think that these soft snows, combined with the time of day and Christmas decorations, make for a picture postcard scene! But it could just be because it is my house too!! Last photo is of Wendy and JessG, taking a break from watching me make cookies. Note: stand mixer still in the background.

Wish we had some snow...this looks like so much fun!
Okay, so Lin did not bake ALL of my cookies for the cookie exchange ... Jess G. baked some of them, too! It was so great to see her. We had lunch first and then just the best afternoon and evening with the Clarks. It's just too bad that the Clark children did not seem to be able to warm up to her ... yeah, right!
