Molly's kindergarten field trip to Nanticoke Gardens

This past Monday, Molly's class took a field trip to Nanticoke Gardens, a local nursery that has gorgeous flowers, herbs, vegetables, and small plants. The children learned the anatomy of a plant, had a tour of the greenhouses, planted flowers, and found out how a nursery works in the winter. The employees at Nanticoke Gardens deserve high praise, they did a super job with these kids!!

Starting off, walking down an aisle of rainbow pansies

At the work table, ready to learn the parts of a plant

Inside one of the greenhouses, eye candy for us winter weary New Yorkers!!

Watching the huge dirt machine fill about 50 little pots with dirt in about 5 seconds!!

Ready to plant marigolds!!

Molly is a professional gardener.....

Her plants are ready to packing up to take back to school

I love the smell of potting soil. I bet the kids loved it!
