Easter dinner

Standing rib roast, horseradish mashed potatoes, asparagus, and angel yeast biscuits. What else could we possibly need?? Oh, the carrot cake that was for dessert!!!!

Few more cows (different pasture)

Potter and I took Macdougal for a walk to another pasture, with cows and a donkey. The cows were unimpressed with us.

Egg hunt and church

The Easter Bunny did not disappoint in hiding the eggs all over the house. There were some for every age kid to find. It was hard to keep Caleb (who woke up really, really early) from looking, then Molly, until Potter and Dave finally woke up. Many eggs had been spied by that point. Church went very well and the kids behaved themselves, then we had photos at home. Not many pictures of us as a five-some (or twosome), so I treasure these.....

In their new pajamas

The kids had fun wrestling with each other......

Easter morning

The Easter Bunny brought everyone new pajamas!!! Potter got MarioKarts Wii pajamas, Molly got Princess pajamas, and Caleb got Lightening McQueen pajamas!! Yay!!!!!

Our family

A variety of family pictures. This might be the only one where you see me (with Macdougal) and I took it myself.

More Easter egg dyeing

Like I said, fun for all ages......

Easter egg dyeing

What kid doesn't like dying Easter eggs????

Goats bleating

The goats were much more cooperative!!!

Will this cow just moo already?

The cows were not cooperating with the mooing. We did more than they did.

And then the cows

Directly across from the goats are the cows (I know I have posted pictures of all of these same animals on our many trips from N.C., so pardon any of the repetitiveness, as I am sure many of you have seen this and know all about the farm animals at Fearrington!!) which were in the small corral area where they eat. Normally they are spread out all across the meadow or are in the small pond cooling off. You don't realize how large some of these are until you are right in their face, and boy were we close this time!!!

First encounter with the goats at the lake

Was beautiful weather the first morning we were there, so we headed across the street to feed the goats some carrots and celery. They never say no and in fact when we ran out, they ate the clover that we picked outside their pen! Then the kids spent some time next to the lake tossing in random things, mostly sticks and those prickery things that fall from trees. We also saw a box turtle, whose picture I forgot to post!!

Granddad picks up with Little Green Man

We headed down to N.C. for Easter with Granddad!! The night we got there it was fairly late for the kids, but they had a bath to help settle them down for bedtime and then Granddad gave them the next installment of the Little Green Man series. He has been doing this for years with Potter, now Molly listens pretty intently, and Caleb just wants to sit with someone or some dog whose ear he can hold while finishing off his bedtime milk sippy!!

Potter plays with Neal

Potter's friend Neal came over this past weekend for playing outside (on the one nice day we have had for a while) and then they had hot dogs and roasted s'mores. It was fun watching all of the kids climbing trees, playing in the woods, climbing on the picnic table (where these pictures were taken), and hitting balls with the bats.

Caleb has moves (part 2)

Ok, this is the last video, I promise.

Caleb has moves

I finally got some video of Caleb dancing. He is sooooo cute!!

Kids with megablocks

Over the weekend, the kids built many neat things with megablocks. Molly recreated the very long hallway in Granddad's house and then the kids talked about how they were going to slide down the hallway and into the family room on their knees when we go down for Easter. Then Potter and Caleb built a huge 'garage' together. Caleb had all of his trucks next to and inside the garage. I had to take another picture just of Potter with his garage.

Caleb dancing (sort of)

Caleb loves to dance and I tried to get him into it this morning while I cooked the pancakes he made (see post below), but I got only a smidgen of what he is capable of, but he is still my cute little guy.

Caleb making pancakes

Caleb loves the kitchen, loves to mix, loves to cook, must see what is in every pot on the stove, and can make a good pot of coffee (really!!) This morning was no exception as he made pancakes for everyone for breakfast.
